A Sci-Fi Action-Adventure Play Like None Other

TEENAGE JONNY QUEST IN TOKYO is based on the 1960s-era Hanna-Barbara television series. THE ADVENTURES OF JONNY QUEST only aired for one season, but has lived on in syndication. The complete series was released on DVD a little over a year ago, and episodes still currently air on the Boomerang network.

Four J.L. Mann High School Academy seniors wrote the play with the assistance of Drama Coach CHRIS WHITE:

PHILLIP CALVIN is working on the play's technical aspects...lighting, sound design, original score, multimedia integration.

ROSS OVINGTON plays Dr. Benton Quest in the show, and is the show's Assistant Director, Scene and Prop Designer, and co-composer.

MICHAEL REALMUTO (or, MIKE REAL) plays Race Bannon.

KNOX WHITE plays Jonny Quest.

The accomplishment of not only writing a full-length play, but seeing it so lavishly produced, is stunning given these young artists' age and experience. For the play to be so successful on stage, is rare, indeed.

See TEENAGE JONNY QUEST IN TOKYO! LIVE and on stage at the NEW J.L. Mann Auditorium. April 4-11, 2008.
